Paladin vs. Crusader

which do you go with?

The paladin tank does cost more, right? It also requires generals ability... which is the reason why I dont use it. I've noticed it has more armor than the Crusader though. Yet the Crusader seems (to me at least) to drive better. So in what situation(s) would you choose the Paladin over the Crusader (or vice versa)?

I always get paladins against china and GLA. They stop missles which is very useful versus these teams. For USA they have missle defenders and with laser lock, paladins don't stop them anywya because of the speed at which they fire. So I use crusaders mostly.

paladins are good vs planes and choppers too

and scorp missles and scuds. As a GLA player I always find it harder to beat paladins than crusaders.

Paladins.

The first couple or more tanks may be crusaders simply because of the system involved in generals, but usually I get paladins early and buy paladins when I can.

when this game first came out lots of people were saying paladins weren't worth it and that crusaders are much better, something i never understood because the paladin's laser pretty much owns.

That theory assumed that the crusaders are enough to do the job and that you would get more tanks for the same price. Also, the scout drone was a valuable asset for the beginning.

Both can be upgraded with composite armor at the strat center, and its only a measly $200 for paly (although general ability), so i go with paly, those L4z0rz own everything.

Pals have extra armor which really kills. Also, the 1 or 2 rocketmen on the horizon really do a lot of damage in tank battles. Having paladin lasers instead of a 3 or 4 more tanks really makes a big difference. The scout drone is not needed as badly as the paladin imo.

really? you'd go paladin over crusader? this is a surprise. does this apply to any side or just vs america? i mean, i love paladins, i always thought they were better than crusaders, but the scout drone gives such a massive advantage.

you definately want the paladins vs gla, it is good to have some mixed in when fighting anybody though

china needs migs vs gla but i dont think they are neccessary vs china and not always vs usa either

China always uses MiGs because they are so powerful. I would always go paladins versus China and GLA. You command center has a reveal every 60 seconds anyway. Use that. And I think both paladins and crusaders have the same armor and firepower(maybe paladins have just a little more armor but not really noticable).

1vs1 the paladin wins, but only just. the main advantage is of course the laser.
