i went to EA. it wasnt helpful. Sl8, it IS later this week...they essentially have 2 days to get it out this week...

EA's patches work like this....They read the message boards and listen to what everyone has to say. The make a plan of action and then whip out a patch in a couple of days. (they just started releasing what they will be making changes in the patch) After the patch is whipped out (I used the words whipped out because its not really even close to perfect) and they spend as much time as they possibly can afford testing it. Often there is alot of problems. And some problems go overlooked (like the hold stat info stuff as well as other things). They give a deadline for themselves and they try to force themselves to meet the deadline. So basically they rarely meet the deadline and some minor things get overlooked. People write about it on the boards...and then we go to the next patch, improving the game but yet setting some parts of it back. So basically what im trying to say is: EA sets deadlines...and they dont meet them. I would rather them not meet them and thoroughly test the game in all different ways, then push it out and make the game worse...because some people dont realize this but patches can really hurt the game if the whole process is messed up although they are designated to improve it. They do listen though. So basically I was told mid-friday, but expect early Monday. It would be nice for the weekend though and they are aiming for that.
