When you are booting your computer you can enter the BIOS. Normally by pressing del. In there might be an option to check the temperature. Otherwise you can download a program to tell you.

Pentiums are cooler than AMD and have an option which makes the computer shut off when it's running too hot. This way you will not damage your hardware.

In response to the question "Does the P4 have alot of bugs in it"

The answer is no. I have never run games more smooth and efficiently(sp).

I also have Windows xp which is rumored to be bugged -- I have never had a better operating system. I can tweak for gaming and its 100% compatible with everything i have.

P4 and Windows Xp = their grrrreat!
