Collapsing whole threads and instantly changing color scheme for the regular page is sufficient dhtml for now, I don't think I'll program games for the forum :D

But the game does look cool, I'll study it to see if it contains anything interesting (y)

Suspect templates with undesirable graphics and pointless levels of flash sucks, bar the flash someone could have designed the gmk site in 2 mins, my words dont reflect ba but im pretty sure thats wha some of you are thinking, nice content, but ur asthetics sux ass. So please do not criticise DHTML becuse if u used some of it your site(template) would load a bit quicker.

DHTML is less secure. You should know that if your all for it.

dhtml is ok, but php you can do just about the same stuff with. whats cool about php is it takes the servers processor power to load the page rather than your own for dhtml.

Actually, normally that is not considered cool :) I mean users have 500 to 2000 MHz of free processing power per user, the server has got that for all it's users together, so doing more in dhtml is less severe on the server. Also dhtml means dynamic html, meaning no page reloads while you can still change some aspects of the page, this is easier for the user. So I just use dhtml when that's useful, and php when that's easier or the only way to do something.

And I never heard of dhtml not being secure... could you explain that?
