Hey Guys,

I was just wondering, if any of you guys knew when the econd Lord of the Rings was going to be released?

Has anyone heard any reviews about ?
If so how does the director manage to follow tolkins manner of layout in the second book, (it is very strange)

I remember watching the first one and leaving with 30 minutes left cause I was so bored and tired of them saying Froto every 2 minutes.

When i first bought my Little Nicky DVD i was just clicking around where i stumbled across a secret feautre.... it showed me the previews for LOTR I Fellowship OF tHE Rings
LOTR2- The Two Towers
and LOTR3- The Return Of The King

I read all of them btw including the Hobbit

All of them are already filmed, and are set to release exactly 1 year after the other. So that would make it December 19 2002 (subject to change due to dates/days)


The first movie was excellent and followed the book closely, nearly 100%. They did however give more attention to Aragorn and Arwen, who have more passion for each other visually.

The second book is just like the first, it will follow it very close to the letter of the law.

About the ending of the movie -- Alot say it had no closure and was drawn out -- Remember that the first movie, like the book, is not supposed to stand alone. The 3 books were originally 1, but Tolkiens editor said it was too long, so he was forced to break it into 3 in order to get it published.

So the endings may seem drawn out and leaving you wondering -- they are supposed to!! The last movie, "The Return of the King" WILL have closure as all of you who have read the books know :)

That movie is for queers, I seriously fell asleep, the fight sequences where way too short and far in between, gonna go see BLADE 2 this week-end, that should kick ass.......

the books were by far my favorite books i have ever read. I have read all three and the Hobbit at least 3 times each, and i still love them. I have also seen the movie 3 times...it is so damn good. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan, and the movie was so true to the book, it was great. Except for as rune said, they focused to much on arwen and aragorn. I guess they needed love in it. O well, at least Liv Tyler is hot.

maybe u have to be a fan of the book, but i loved it.

I heard that they actually filmed every scene from the book but that the movie was 5 hours long so they cut it down. And i heard that this original 5 hour movie would be included on the DVD. Does anyone know if thats true. Cause it would be cool to see all the scenes that they left out.

Im glad they have all of the movies filmes already so that none of the actors ask for more money. I bet they would have asked for more $ due to all the academy award nominations(13). Jackson thought ahead(director) when he decided to take on this enormous responsibility to the world.

What I wonder is just how the director will manage the second movie, in the book it focuses partiall on aaragorn and Gandalf and the defeat of Sauraman (v exciting) but then he moves onto the Journey of frodo, although this is acceptable in a novel in my opinion this simply cant be done in a movie or you will "leave in the lat 30 mins" as Burner said

pagan, you can read subtitles can't you, did you see croutching tiger hidden dragon, or life is beatiful, trust me go see brotherhood of the wolves check-out the web site see if you can dl the movie...I just hate fanatics, people that dress up like fucking elves or see stars wars looking like an ewok, or trying to contact morpheous on the net, enjoy the movie, but don't submerse yourself into like its reality, its just a movie.

I was watching the new show on nbc the other night but damn i cant remeber the name of it. He was one of the guys that did the weekend update on SNL and he has his own live shown now. They have only done 2 and Rosie Cow Odonnel was on the 2nd 1.

Damn it this sux. as soon as i go to class i will remeber. It is a hillarious ass show kinda politically incorrect and stuff. Anyways one of the guys on there was talking about how all the great actors at some point in time portray a retarted person and he named a few like Tom Hanks.

Anyways he popped off but then there are some actors who fil that role in every movie such great actors lik keana Reeves. I lmao for a long time at that 1.

anyways to answer reblemm, havent u ever seen a movie where it follows many plots because the group split up? I think TTT will be just fine.

o and btw xmia, i would never dress up for a movie, that would be like actually using the calender ww sent me or actually buying that Yuri mask they had for holloween. I do use the mouse pad though :D .
I just really loved the books and the movie is a great adaptation of LOTR. I wouldnt dress up as a hobbit or anything.
