A few singleplayer missions and skirmish as GDI against easy Nod AI.

Get it from EA Link (v. fast) (http://www.ea.com/ealink/), Fileplanet (slow, wait in line), Gamers Hell (fast) (http://www.gamershell.com/download_17978.shtml)

The game runs fine on older computers. You certainly don't need the newest processor.

There have been several versions of DirectX 9.0, try installing the latest version from Microsoft.

First impressions: it's fun, the game is a good C&C game, it really feels like C&C. Much better than for example Generals.

The game runs fine on XP computers. You can have as current-tech a setup as money can buy, C&C3 still won't play if you try to run it in Windows 2000. Hurray for the marketing practice of deliberate, contrived non-XP OS deprecation.

why don't you just get XP? If it's not for some specific reason you can get it anywhere for free. Seems like everyone has a hacked XP these days

Why don't they just make it Win2k compatible instead?

They could also stop artificially making things "incompatible with win2k" to sell xp/vista units

yeah they should prolly just make it all dos compatible too

Game looks good so far. Might actually buy it. It seems as fast-paced as RA2 is.

Posted in OCRemix.org's C&C3demo thread by GeckoYamori (here (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showpost.php?p=239706&postcount=16)):

An easter egg has been found. In the skirmish menu, open the faction bar, highlight Nod, hold down N and click. Voila, you can now play as Nod. The same works procedure works if you want to play against GDI, just hold down G.

Might try installing VMware Workstation (anyone know which vers is best/most stable between the latest ones?) and see if I can get the demo to run on an XP virtual machine...

It looks like it has potential, seems like an offensive game.

I came across a multi-trainer for the demo just two days ago dated March 7th, so my guess would be not too long (anyone know how soon one came out when Generals was released?). Who knows, maybe the Generals one might even work as it is, seeing how similar the two games are :bored:.
