Hurricane Katrina

If you have been keeping up with current news, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans this morning. I speak for every1 of this community when I say our prayers are with people who were effected by the hurricane, hopefully every1 gets out safe, and damages are kept to a minimal.

All the implied social commentary about the (in)significance of their lives aside, not many people from the areas struck by the tsunami 9 months ago post here, mister phish.

PS: Why does "no one" all of a sudden require a hyphen?
PPS: Sympathies are of course extended to everyone caught in the middle of this latest tragedy, either personally or through others close to them. Hopefully some people will decide even now to place more value to human lives than material things and start making more sensible decisions like getting the hell out of there.

Which makes no difference as far as I can see since the Tsunami was a disaster many orders of magnitude more serious. Although it's easy to forget that, given that the Hurricane occurred in America where, lest we forget, the murder of 3 people is classed as a massacre.

It doesn't, but it's perfectly acceptable to give it one.
