Coming from a mexican background I can vouch for Slyte because it is ese. Pronounced essay.

well i like essay, its much more phonetical (<--- stupid un-phonetical word) than ese. And ese should be pronounced eace so i am protesting the spelling and pronunciation of ese, its now essay.

Where does 'eace' come from?

Eace is pronounced 'A-ah-say' and not 'essay' dude. The capital letter is emant to be a long sound.

Where were you taught spanish?

o ffs amry of one...that was my whole point..."eace" is how u pronounce ese in ENGLISH...which is what i speak, and so since i speak English the way i wanna spell it is essay, so i protest the other way since in English ese would be "eace"

Actually I think the average non-spanish-speaking white person might say it like "ees" but I could be wrong because i am neither white or non-spanish-speaking...
